US Independence Day

July 4, 2024

Tikalon is on a short holiday in celebration of US Independence Day. Our next article will be posted on Monday, July 15, 2024.

George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River

George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River. In my version of this iconic image in American history, he encounters some unusually large water molecules.

George Washington (1732-1799), President of the United States from 1789 to 1797, was commander of the American Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War.

This river crossing occurred on the night of December 25-26, 1776, and it was the prelude to the December 26, 1776, surprise attack on Hessian mercenary troops fighting for Britain and garrisoned at Trenton, New Jersey.
